We are delighted to announce that all 21 of PLACE’s summer 2018 Arts Award entrants were passed successfully with very positive comments by the visiting Trinity Art Awards moderator, Danusia Iwasko, when she visited our premises in Putnoe yesterday – she was extremely impressed with all of the entrants’ Arts Award project folders and described them as “excellent”.
“Explore” youngsters were represented at the moderation by Mia Thomas and Charlie Robinson, Bronze by Ruth Fox and Nicole Nichols-Cook and Silver by Darryl Woolerson, all pictured above. With them are PLACE’s Art Award supervisor, Paul Nicholson, and Danusia Iwasko. The PLACE entrants answered Ms Iwasko’s questions about their folders and explained what they had liked about undertaking Arts Award projects and what they felt the benefits had been for PLACE participants.
Paul Nicholson had worked very hard to display the folders and discussed PLACE youngsters’ entries in detail with the moderator. He would like to say a big ‘WELL DONE’ to all of the participants. He writes… ‘It’s been a real pleasure working with you and seeing the growth in confidence. I really enjoyed looking at all the folders when marking them and was very impressed with the range of artists and arts activities covered. Thanks also to all of the parents for their support over the last six months – it’s greatly appreciated!’
